"body": "<p>Meditations for the Seder night: what is different, we asked</p>\n\n<p>What makes this night different from all other nights,<br />\nMost of us grew up and we don’t ask anymore, while some<br />\ncontinue to ask questions throughout their lives, like when they ask<br />\nHow are you? or What time is it? and move on<br />\nwithout hearing the answer. What is different, every night,<br />\nlike an alarm clock whose tick-tock calms us and puts us to sleep<br />\nWhat has changed, everything will change. Change is God.</p>\n\n<p>Meditations for Seder night: the Torah spoke of four sons<br />\nOne who is wise, one who is wicked, one who is simple, and one<br />\nwho does not know how to ask. But it doesn’t tell us<br />\nabout the one who is good or the one who loves.<br />\nThis is the question that has no answer and if there were an answer<br />\nI would not want to know it. I who passed all the sons<br />\nin different combinations, I lived my life, the moon shone<br />\non me though I had no need for it and the sun went its way and the<br />\nPassover holidays passed without answer. One woman saves her baby by floating him down the river in a basket. Pharaoh's daughter finds the child, names him Moses, and brings him up as her own.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>\n\n\n\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>Moses is aware of his true origins and one day he kills an Egyptian overseer who is beating a Hebrew slave and has to flee to Midian.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>\n\n\n\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>There he gets married and hears God speak to him from a flaming shrub. God tells Moses, return to Egypt and lead the Hebrew slaves to the Promised Land. </span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>\n\n\n\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>Moses says, \"Uh-uh, not me.\" God says, \"Uh-Huh, you!\"</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>\n\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>Moses returns to Egypt and demands that Pharaoh let God's people go. Pharaoh refuses and </span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>\n\n\n\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>God sends ten plagues to torment the Egyptians. Before the tenth plague, the Hebrews put lamb's blood on their doors so the angel of death will \"pass over\" their homes. Pharaoh finally lets the Hebrews go, but they don't have time to bake any bread before they head to the Sea of Reeds.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>\n\n\n\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>Pharaoh decides he wants his workforce back and goes after them with his army, so Moses parts the sea and the Hebrews cross safely to the other side.
