Passover Symbols- Maror
Maror: This bitter herb is the symbol of the bitterness of servitude. It serves as a perpetual reminder, from generation to generation, that it is the duty of the Jews, as the descendants of the slaves, to do whatever can be done to lighten the load of those less fortunate and to have sympathy for all living creatures who are enslaved.
