Nirtzah By: Ayla Abramson
Nirtzah
We sing “l/shana haba” at Nirtzah because we want Moshiach to come and we want to go to jerusalem all together next year!!!!!
Leshana haba yerushalayim hallelujah!! |
לשנה הבּא ירושלימ הללויה!! |
The steps of the Seder have been integrated into our consciousness and accepted. Now we pause, and reflect on our experience. We examined our personal challenges through the slavery of our ancestors, and we reached a personal freedom by getting the Torah and luchot .The last song of the Seder echoes our hope and that of our ancestors tha His promise for a world of peace and wisdom become a reality, and the entire world will live in jerusalem the order of Pesach is over Its message endures throughout the year. However, if this were the meaning of Nirtzah, it would not be explaining what we are doing in this step, but rather it would be referring to what we did in all previous steps. This is unlike the title of every other step, which refers to what we do in that step. Therefore, the true name of the step is Hallel Nirtzah, referring to the second time we are saying Hallel tonight. The first time we said Hallel tonight, it was a plain Hallel. A Jew leaves Egypt every day reaching ever-higher levels of holiness, kadosh. Every year when we sing during nirtzah hashem's heart is filled and he wants moshiach to come sooner and we can all move to israel all together as a nation.
