Dayenu Song
The word “Dayenu” translates roughly to “it would have been enough for us." This traditional up-beat Passover song is over a thousand years old and is about being grateful.
Lyrics
Ilu hotzi hotzianu
Hotzianu mimitzrayim,
Hotzianu mimitzrayim
Dayenu
Had he brought us out of Egypt,
Only brought us out of Egypt,
Had he brought us out of Egypt,
Dayenu. (It would have been enough.)
Ilu natan natan lanu
Natan lanu et ha Torah
Natan lanu et ha Torah
Dayenu
Had he given us the Torah,
Only given us the Torah,
Had he given us the Torah,
Dayenu. (It would have been enough.)
