Greenhouse gasses (i.e. CO2, methane, ozone, etc.) are released into the atmosphere, trapping heat and creating holes in the ozone layer. According to NASA, the global temperature has increase 1.1C since the Industrial revolution. If climate change continues at this rate, it could lead to extreme weather events, rising ocean levels, and high amounts of species extinction.
