Since his inclusion in the 1985 Guggenheim Museum exhibition, New Horizons in American Art, he has had over 60 solo exhibitions and over 70 museum and gallery group shows. Among his traveling solo museum exhibitions are Tobi Kahn: Metamorphoses, Avoda: Objects of the Spirit, Microcosmos and Sky and Water paintings. Objects of the Spirit: Ritual and the Art of Tobi Kahn, a book about Kahn’s ceremonial art was published in 2004. In 2002, a meditative room for the HealthCare Chaplaincy in New York City was inaugurated as a permanent installation. Awards include Outstanding Alumni Award from Pratt Institute in 2000; the NFJC Award in the Visual Arts in 2004; JTS Honorary Doctorate in 2007. In October, 2009, Tobi Kahn: Sacred Spaces of the 21st Century, a solo traveling exhibition opened at MOBIA in New York City. Selected collections: Solomon R.
