In the beginning our forefathers served idols; but now the Omnipresent One has brought us close to His service.

Forgive us, O Holy One, for idolizing our bodies by being obsessed with our figures. Bring us close to Your service once again.
Leader:
The Egyptians treated us badly and they made us suffer, and they put hard work upon us.
Group:
Others have made us hate our bodies and mistreat them.
Leader:
And we cried out to the Lord, the God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our suffering, our labor, and our oppression.
Group:
The Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and outstretched arm, with great awe, miraculous signs and wonders.
